Athletic Coaching

The Athletic Coaching Certificate prepares students for working with athletes on teams.

Students learn skills in:

• Wellness, fitness and weight training
• Designing coaching practices and core competencies
• Injury prevention, First Aid and CPR
• Varied sports skills and officiating
• Application of sports psychology

Program Delivery

• Hybrid on Willmar and Hutchinson campuses
• Most classes online with no set class meeting times; students attend lectures and access materials according to their schedules

• Arranged hands-on coaching practicum with team of student’s choosing
